"not all pain." Sanaras said, "the process of cleansing is painful, the more whicked the person the more the torment....its designed to prevent you from going numb from it." He glanced at his master, who nodded. "once you get passed that stage, you can have a fairly stable afterlife. probably more stable then in heaven, with a contract. even without...but especially with...a contract guarantees that your only being tormented until your master picks you up,which is just long enough to do a quick cleanse and train you. bearable..." He said.

"People hear what they want to" Sam said. He spoke to his sister. He could tell she would be ready to fight the system....That was if she could speak again. It took a lot for her to speak. Rose looked out the window.

They had passed through the gate by now. The sky here was blood-red, and it was dark. Other then that it didnt seem too bad actually. "welcome to level one..." Sanaras said. "incidentally....there are alot of people here who can probably help ease your own pain..." he said. yes, he was trying, it pleased his master to no end, regardless of the result.

Rose shrugged silently. "She doesn't care" Sam said. He was speaking for her now. He was her voice swhen she couldn't, or wouldn't, speak. Rose looked out the window. No thoughts, no meaning.

"i wasnt talking to her, i was talking to you...." Sanaras replied. Rose wasnt his target here, he was. It was the empath he was trying to convince. Ironically, empaths no matter what the age were the best candidates and also the hardest people to convince.

"Why should he believe you" Rose said. Ah she was talking again. If his sister didn't like something, Sam wouldn't either. After all, his sister was older and a bit wiser. Rose had to be his target if he wanted Sam. Rose wouldn't budge, she was a rose in december.

"you dont. but im cleansed, neutral. some of the best servants of hell are empaths who have mastered the gift...they know how to manipulate it, turn it into something they can use to their advantage, at that point, its no longer pain." Sanaras explained, "i can prove that..." He was getting into this, he knew that convincing an empath to join would score big points for him. "ill introduce you to Martin..."

"He doesn't believe you either" Rose said, her gift was to borrow other peoples gifits, only for a short time...at the most maybe half an hour...but that hurt her the most. Rose would break down in tears after fifteen minutes any longer she would get sick and loose her own strength. She rubbed her brothers back. She looked at Sanaras, Rose looked like she had the flu "do you have a barf bucket?" she asked

"ill prove it. hold on a few more minutes, were almost there." Sanaras said. The man, his master, nodded. whether he was agreeing with that they were almost there or he was silently commmenting on how Sanaras was doing, was unknown.

"I-I can't" Rose stammered, she leaned over and threw up a few times on the seat next to her. Her brother looked worried. He didn't like these men anymore. They didn't care. He could feel it. He pushed his sisters hair behind her ears. "We're almost done driving' He said

"if i stop here worse will happen." the man said. it wasnt so much that he didnt care, but that he couldnt. the living couldnt last long in hell on their own anyway. keeping them alive would be hard in the middle of nowhere. "dying in hell is worse then dying on earth and being sent here..." he muttered.

Her borther made a face. "Can't you see she's sick" He said and reached for a tissue for his sister. Rose wimpered and looked out the window, her mind was reeling. As was her stomach. She wanted to throw up again, but she had nothing to throw up.

"i know shes sick, but ask her this. would she rather be sick, or dead." he sighed. there really was nothing he could do about it until they reached their destination. until then she would have to wait.

She whispered something. "She's glad you don't have souls" Sam said. He didn't know what she meant, but he assumed Rose said to be mean. Rose leaned over and threw up again....Her stomach settled with this one. She didn't say a word.

He stopped the car after a few more minutes, though it probably felt like an eternity to them, outside of what appeared to be a palace of sorts. It was heavily guarded, and one of the guards walked up to the car to meet them. The man held up something, showing it to the guard, who nodded. "alright, lets get the two of you to safety." he said, getting out of the car.
