The four kingdoms had been coexisting for the most part these days. With no major problems, and only a few minor ones, her job had been relatively easy. Something she was quite grateful for. Then there were the dragons...the dragons usually didn't leave their own lands, but occasionally some of them would wander. With most breeds this wasn't a problem, but for the few that were openly hostile, like the blacks, this became an issue. The elves were fairly accepting of dragons, so if they happened to cross into Auzur, it wasn't too much of an issue. There the dragons would get the respect they deserve. It was in Trent, primarily occupied by humans, that a great deal of troubles arose when a dragon wandered through. The dwarves in Resde rarely talked to anyone, and regarded the dragons with silent resentment. The dragons didn't care, of course, so long as they were left alone. No one knew what would happen in Ilenost, it was a melting pot of all races and perspectives.
Sighing, she pushed the paperwork aside. It was work that needed to get done, but she couldn't focus at the moment. She needed a vacation. Ambassadorship had never been an easy road to follow, it came with many responsibilities and problems. she glanced around her office. Save for a body guards it was empty of anything of interest.
A cold mist came in through the window. She could recognize that chill anywhere. She looked up,"hello there, friend." she said, greeting her partner in crime. Yarnelm was an ice dragon, and her friend and familiar. Like most dragons, he was a proud being, and that he had chosen to work with her was an honor she would admit to.
"Ghadana, I'm taking a break..." she told the gruff half-orc guard standing near the door. A quick nod from him acknowledged that he understood. With that she got to her feet and teleported to her room where she quickly changed into one of her many disguises. If she were to truly be free of work, she would have to go unrecognized by the masses. Wearing a simple white dress and putting her hair in a ponytail, she looking in the mirror,"hello Aubrianna, nice to see you again. " she then teleported out back where Yarnelm stood waiting, and jumped on his back.
It was time to take that vacation.

(( ^_^ I think I shall join this luffly roleplay. Thank you for pointing me toward the site. ^__^ I'll just have my lady somewhere that I'm gonna make up. x3))
Meanwhile, off toward Trent, near one of the large forests that seemed abundant near the human city's borders, an odd-looking woman was traveling along the less-traveled dirt path, muttering to herself as she flipped through the pages of a large, leather-bound book.
Each page made an uneasy, crinkling sound as she turned them, the pages withered and weak from age. Judging by the odd runes and other magical symbols that decorated the exterior of said book, it obviously contained spells and all sorts of 'forbidden arts'.
Well..Forbidden to most humans, that is. Though the woman looked human, she was in fact more. She was a lycanthrope now, a werewolf by curse. She was once just an ordinary 'Seer' of sorts, when a rival cursed her with the bite of the beast. Naturally, she was kicked out of town before she could infect others, thus she had lived in the forest for years now.
At first she was bitter, but now she was grateful to avoid the hustle and bustle, plus the crime of the city. The forest was safe for her, especially since she'd manipulated her curse. She could transform at will now, and retain her human wits in her cursed form.
Well, there was one exception. During the full moon, she still had no control whatsoever. Just another reason she was glad that deep in the woods, there were other things to kill besides what was once her own kin.
Sighing to herself, she shoved the book back into the large bag that was tied around her waist, animal bones and other spell ingredients hanging from the straps. Her long, wild raven hair seemed a bit unkempt, but it was far from being disgusting. Her clothing however, was a bit ragged. Just what one might expect a 'swamp witch' to wear.
But at least it suited her.
((Sorry, I had writer's block. xD))

Up ahead, the sounds of a dragon could be heard. The wind gust generated from the flapping of a large dragon's wings were only imiatatable by a gryphon of which there were none in the area. While typically the dragonlands were far in the south, some did live up north, primarily the winter breeds of Ice and Glacier dragons, who flourished in cold temperatures. Yet it was not at that point a time that they typically wandered. The chilling roar of one of these frosty giant fliers was heard from the skies as yet another gust of wind, this time chilly as the cry itself was generated as the dragon yet again moved its wings to propel itself forward.

" What in blazes?"
Surprised, the lycan woman opened her haunting, orange eyes wide in shock. A gryphon? A dragon? What did it want?
Feeling a bit curious, she decided to wander towards where the sounds were coming from, clutching the large staff she carried with her. If necessary, she hoped this beast wasn't immune to spells of any nature. If it meant her harm and was, well..She was doomed.
Giving a light sigh for courage, she quickened her gait to get there faster.

The dragon landed in a clearing, more gently then most dragons do unless they are carrying someone. His icy blue scales glistened of ice, the medium it mimicked. It was colder the closer one got to one of these beasts. As a defense, their bodies generated enough cold to freeze whoever laid a hand on them. The cold suggested he was highly alert and on guard for some reason. Unusual for a dragon that would just be wandering. What could be so important to protect?

Anya, as the woman was called, opened her eyes even wider, quite surprised to see the Dragon there. She wondered why it was so on alert, and what she risked by startling it. Not wanting to die, she made certain to crack a few twigs in half. The Dragon was certain to hear her, right? Hopefully, it wouldn't kill her out of shock.

The dragon shifted and huffed. It made no other sign of acknowledgement to her presence. "Dont worry, friend, i'll be fine." came a female voice from the other side of this icy beast. "a mage can look after herself, and besides, if i need you, you know i can call you." the voice finished. The dragon seemed to nod in acknowledgement of this fact, and soon after there were sounds of someone running off in the direction of town. The dragon seemed to purposely block her view of his friend, as if protecting her identity. After the sounds of the unknown girl running had died off, he turned to face her, gave another cold snort, and took off into the air in the other direction.

A young girl looked over at the most wonderful sight of this magnifacent dragon and stared in absolute wonder. she couldn't have been more thrilled then she was then. adonnia was her name and she was an elf at least some elf and she came from Ilenost a lnd where they knew dragons exised btu few had ever seen them. this would be a grfeat story to tell back home if she wasn't beaten till her jaw was broken. adonnia didn't care though. she wase glad she left she always felt so long as the people she was with held her back she could never flourish. here she thought perhaps she could find some one to teach her what she wanted to know. and teach her how to the magic she was born with that was always getting her beating because she couldn't control it. the youth decided that the women who controled the dragon might be a good way to start. to excited by the possibilities of what could happen a too dumb to realize the real danger she was puttting herself in she walked rightup and smiled

have to go sorry more tomorrow post back to that if you want...

The dragon didnt linger, and was soon out of sight. Leaving only a chill in the air as a reminder that it had visited the area.
Meanwhile, his friend had made her way toward town. After having run for a length of time, she slowed. Certain that she was far enough away from the area at which they had landed that no one would make the connection, she stopped to rest. Sitting down under a tree, she sighed and closed her eyes. It was so peaceful here, yes, this was jus what she needed. Some rest and relaxation.

Anya watched the dragon fly off, her senses telling her there was someone else nearby, but her attention focused on the young lady who had just come off the dragon. " You command a dragon, do you, young missy? That's quite impressive." She nodded in awe, watching the dragon until it was just a dot on the horizon. Then, she turned her gaze back to her, but the woman was running off! " Hey now!" It was too late, she'd already vanished off. But anya wouldn't give up so easily. She was a lycanthrope, and the girl's scent still lingered int the breeze. Thus, she ran after her. Faster and more graceful than her appearance would have suggested, no doubt. Eventually, she'd reached the town, not out of breath, but disappointed there was not more running to do. Oh, how the animal within her loved to run!
" That's very rude," she snapped, glaring at the young woman. SHe hadn't gotten a good look at her face, but the scent was unmistakable. Dragon still lingered on her clothing.

"you do not give up do you" she said, opening her eyes and looking at her from where she sat under the tree. Her gaze was not warm, nor was it cold, but it showed she had been through much in life, and it also shown something she could not turn off so easily, authority. Her gaze was strong and unwavering.

" Giving up is a human thing," she chuckled. " Ever since I became more, well.. No, I don't." She banged her staff on the ground a lit, shaking the feathers, beads, and animal bones attached to the top of it. Some of the runes and symbols on it seemed to light up, but that was probably just a trick of the light.
" If I want a question answered, I make certain to see it through. If I casted a spell, well..Things might turn and get nasty on you, and I'm a good person."
She returned the stare with a determined one of her own.

"a mage can defend herself from another..." she said, her voice seeming distant. Likely she was lost in her own thoughts at the moment. She sighed and closed her eyes again, "and even against a lycan....yes, i know what you are..." She sighed, was there no way to get peace and quiet around these parts? Thats all the really wanted, a chance to not have to worry about anything. "what do you want of me."

" I want my question answered. You should remember what it is, if you know what I am, correct?" She folded her arms against her chest, a little affronted by the woman's indifferent attitude. Even being a lycanthrope, she had more compassion and pity than she did.

"which question is that again?" she said. She was tired. "if you think im cold, ive earned the right to be for a moment while i try to rest. try seems to be the key word. i came here to relax, it doesnt seem your going to let me does it." she leaned back, resting her head on the tree and closed her eyes. "one does not command a dragon, dragons dont take orders. you ask them to do something, and if they feel like it they will." she muttered.
